MAIXA AND HER OWNER
Once upon a time there was a kangaroo that was called Maixa.
She lived in Australia and she had an owner who was a little bit boring and fat.
Maixa was big and weak. Her eyes were brown and she had a little baby.
Maixa liked going out and walking but the owner didn`t like that, so Maixa
never went out.

TINKERS ISLAND

Main characters: The main characters are Jenny Tikers and her father (Sam).
Jenny Tinkers: She is fourteen years old. She’s a girl, She’s wearing a white dress,

Summary
Jenny is with her father in London. One person gives him a watch.
After one moment some angry people kidnap Sam thinking he’s a thief. The thieves go
to Australia by boat, and Jenny thinks that she can rescue her father, so she gets into the boat.
Some weeks later Jenny rescues her father. They take a small boat and they go to an island.
In the island they find food and they build a house. They give a name to the island “Tinkers island”.
One snake bites Sam. After some days he feels well again. One day some people come to the island.
They see Jenny and her father. They ask Jenny and her father if they want to go to America.
They say yes and they go to America.

What happens during an avalanche?
You will need this things for the experiment:
- clear plastic bottle
- scissors
- sugar
- rice
- salt
- flour
- a polystyrene tray
- red and yellow plasticine
- a sticky tape
- three elastic bands
- 1 large sheet of cardboard
1- Close the top of the bottle as strong as you can.
Ask an adult to cut a rectangular (7x12cm)in the bottle as in the drawing.

2- Pour some sugar inside the bottle to cover the bottom of it.
Cover the sugar with a layer of rice. Then pour in several spoonfuls of salt and flour.

3- Make two plasticine cylinders about 2cm long. These are like two skiers.
4- Use the scissors to cut out a small piece of polystyrene 1cm wide . Push it into one

5-Place your skiers on the layer of flour. Close the flap and fix it carefully with sticky tape.

New animal discovered by Ainhoa
Its name is Donkeybear and it lives in the Arctic, it is a happy and nice animal.
Donkeybears have donkey's head , polar bear's body, zebra's tail and cheetah´s legs. They are also very fast, strong and stubborn animals.
They eat other sea animals, for example: Seals or killer whales.
There are so few because they are hunt by the hunters to make jackets,carpets… They also die with the hot weather.
They live up to around 20 to 23 years.They aren't aggressive animals and you can't see them in zoos.

Two new animals have been discovered by our students Amaiur and Ekhi.
CANCHEETS
This is Cancheets. She lives in New Zealand. She´s as big as a dog and she is very friendly.
She´s got cat head, zebra body, cheetah legs and lemur tail.
She can run very fast. She eats meat, little bones and grass. She likes runing and playing with people too.

MEGALODON
This is Megalodon.
He has got squid head,rabbits legs, rooster tail and zebra stomach.
He lives in the Basque Country, in Spain.
There is only one Megalodon in the world because hunters killed the other Megalodones, but Megalodones are only killed if you hit them in the head or in the heart.
He likes swimming in the sea and it is not afraid of sharks because it is very strong.

MAKE A LIGHT BEAM APPEAR
You will need:
- Aluminium foil
- 1 elastic band
- 1 pencil
- Sticky type
- Black paper
- 1 torch
- 1 page of the news paper
- Some flour
HOW TO DO IT:
- First, cut a piece of aluminium foil and cover the torch. Fix it with the elastic band.
- Then, make a small hole with the pencil.
- Then, cut a strip of black paper and attach it to the torch with the sticky tape.
- After that, ask to one person to stand next to you with their eyes closed and their hands up on the sides of her face. Point with the torch far with the black paper towards your friend. Then, switch on the torch on and off a few times so your friend can’t tell if it’s on or off. Then switch it off. Ask to you friend to open his/her eyes. Can he/ she see light? Switch on the torch. Can your friend see any difference?
- Finally, put the torch on a chair. Put the newspaper on the ground in front of the torch.
- Then go to one side of the newspaper out of the torch light.
- Sprinkle some flour onto the paper by rubbing your hands together.
